Civil Rights Reform Overview:
All people will have equal opportunity in all areas. Civil rights should not be thought of as theoretical principles. They should represent each persons ability to provide for themselves and a family, and to live in a place where they are free from discrimination. Gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, age or disability will not exempt anyone from these rights. No person should be discriminated against because of the circumstances they were born in. All Americans should have equal opportunity to participate in society, and to live in a world where there is no worry of being discriminated against. For that reason, our party is trying to eliminate racial, religious and ethnic profiling and working to protect voting rights by strengthening the Justice Departments Civil Rights Division.
